Village Hall Renovations Update
Its a quiet month event wise so space for an update on the progress towards the renovations:
Following our successful application to the Platinum Jubilee Grant we are in a position to commence Phase 1 of the project, which is to build the extension at front, road side of the building. The architect is finalising the detailed plans ready to go out to tender in the coming weeks. The plans are displayed in the entrance of the hall and regular updates will be posted as the project progresses.
We were successful with our bid to the Platinum Jubliee Village Hall Improvement Fund Grant. The £3m fund was announced by Defra at the end of May 2022 to mark the occasion of her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. There are over 10,000 village halls across England who were eligible to apply. We were awarded the full amount we applied for £32,265.00. Thanks particularly go to Carole Trow, Doreen Till and Colin Syers.
Sessay Community Trust value your support and assistance to help upgrade and improve the village hall for our community to use for many years to come.
