Sessay Village Hall is a recently refurbished large village hall in rural North Yorkshire, perfect for corporate, creative or private events.
We offer a large hall fully equipped for hire, from small meetings to large private events. Situated between York and Thirsk, Boroughbridge and Easingwold, it has easy access from the A1M and the A19 and a large car park.
The hall is large enough for events with up to 100 people seated. There is provision for conference or dining tables. Round dining tables seat 8 place settings comfortably. A good-sized kitchen, with fridges, a large cooker, a water heater, and a dishwasher, is available for everything from tea or coffee to a three-course dinner.
The hall is fully accessible through a lovely entrance to a foyer with toilets, including a wheelchair-accessible toilet. We have an attached fully provisioned bar, which can be made available. The hall is warm being recently insulated and heated with air-source heat pumps. There is economic boost heating if needed. Our green credentials are enhanced by a solar panel array with batteries, which power the heating and changing room showers.
The village hall and kitchen are available, however, from mid-April to September Sessay Cricket Club uses the playing field and separate changing rooms most Saturdays from mid-April to September. This means our car parking may well be compromised.
