The Village Hall

Situated in the centre of Sessay, the Village Hall is the focal point of parish life. Comprising a large, light hall, meeting room, store, kitchen, bar and changing rooms, the building is home to numerous functions.

The main hall has a fixed, expandable stage, a sprung wooden floor, and capacity to seat up to 120 people. It is used for indoor bowls and craft and art groups, as well as community meetings and private functions. Local supergroup the YO7’s have performed here several times.

A separate tea-room / meeting room – with a well-equipped kitchen attached – hosts smaller get-togethers and provides catering facilities and food set-out for the main hall.
The spacious bar has a range of comfortable furniture, pool table, darts and TV. Staffed by volunteers it is open at weekends during the winter, and most evenings in the summer – especially for sports events such as bowls and cricket.

Outside the hall there is a large parking area. The bowls club, with its own clubhouse adjoins the hall and there is also a children’s play area.
