Following the Sessay Community Trust meeting held last Monday, some items were discussed which are appropriate to share with the whole community.
Copper Beach Tree
The large Copper Beech alongside the cricket pitch is diseased and needs to be removed. This is scheduled to happen on August 10th and will involve loss of power to some of the village for up to 7.5 hours according to Northern Powergen. Traffic will need to be controlled and this will be done by a traffic marshal rather than by lights. Northern Powergen will be sending letters out to those who will suffer loss of power shortly so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Family Quiz Night in August
A Family Quiz night is to be arranged in the Village Hall at 6:30 on Saturday August 20th. The bar will be open. More details will follow!
Family Event in October
Another Family Event has also been planned for the beginning of half term week. So get ready for another evening of family fun on Saturday October 22nd again at 6:30 pm in the Village Hall
