Zen Breathe
Tuesday March 5th between 2 and 4 pm
A new one off event for Sessay is Zen Breathe. Kiyomi Sanderson, who lives in the village, brings Yuki Shiina as a guest.
Zen Kokyu,or Zen breathing, encourages us to be more mindful of our breathing, and can be used as a tool to improve our health and wellbeing. It is based on a breathing method
written by Zen master Hakuin Ekaku in the 18th century, which is said to improve concentration, blood flow, and relaxation levels in its users.

Village Hall Refurbishment
Progress has mostly been internal recently as the builders wait for roofing components. The kitchen is still in action. We have cold running water to the tap and hot water from the wall mounted boiler, which can be used for washing up with care. Please would you inform your members/ users of the change and to be careful when using the boiler. The hot water supply to the toilets is unaffected.
A new door to the main hall has been built and progress made with access to the new storage area which will be completed one things are watertight. The roof should go on this week. The new main entrance should be started soon. The new kitchen is in place and will be fitted out with a donated second hand kitchen. This may not happen until May. There are plans in place to upgrade insulation and the heating system but these are grant dependent, although there are contingencies.
Again please take care! Whilst we are doing what we can to minimise disruption to the hall’s activities and keep the areas clean, inevitably there is dust about.
